There are several categories of impact directly related to the COVID-19 emergency, including:
Those who have lost or are receiving reduced income from employment as a result of the COVID-19 emergency
Unforeseen expenses due to COVID-19 emergency, such as healthcare co-pays, childcare, etc.
We are asking all who contact us to utilize this information and other reasonable options such as contacting your lender, landlord, or utility prior to requesting last resort funding. There is a limited amount of funding available and we want to ensure it is considered as funding of last resort. Funds will be distributed on a first-come first-serve basis for immediate needs, according to availability and based on our funders’ guidelines.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
In order to qualify for assistance from the COVID-19 Emergency Assistance Program, the recipient must satisfy all of the following requirements:
Be a resident of Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax County, Fairfax/Falls Church, Loudoun County, Manassas, Manassas Park, or Prince William County
Have been directly impacted by the COVID-19 emergency creating financial hardship (must show documentation as indicated below)
Provide tangible documentation of the COVID-19 related hardship
