BOARD CHAIR
Denise Chadwick Wright
Birmingham Green
Denise Chadwick Wright serves as the CEO of Birmingham Green, a financially accessible senior living facility. Denise is a dedicated advocate for the senior members in communities to have access to quality care that respects and protects personal dignity. This life-long passion has led to a successful career as a respected leader of over 25 years within the senior healthcare sector. She developed a deep expertise and invaluable insights from a formative career as a licensed nursing home administrator working across multiple States. Extensive experiences gained from leading business agendas spanning the organizational lifecycle, from start- up through to delivering successful turnaround, have equipped Denise with a sharp eye for what it takes to embed operational excellence and create a culture of high performance; led a 42% plus profit in first year, surpassing a 18% projected loss for fledgling startup. Denise is recognized by her peers as a tenacious leader who marries the strength of strategic thinking with proven business acumen to build healthy and effective teams and sustainably successful organizations; she was awarded the prestigious American College of Health Care Administrators Facility Leadership Award in recognition of organizational leadership. Most recently received the Women of Distinction Award from McKnight’s Senior Living and has been inducted into the McKnight’s Women of Distinction Hall of Honor 2021. She is committed to the continued sustainability of healthcare sector and serves as an advisory board member for the University of Richmond Customer Service program; and has served as an adjunct faculty member for health care and business administration undergraduate students at Stratford University Falls Church campus. Denise holds a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Health Administration from Eastern University and a BS in Business Administration from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Todd McCormick
The House Inc.
Todd McCormick is Executive Director and founding partner of The House, Inc. a Woodbridge, VA based non-profit. He works closely with The House, Inc.'s Board of Directors and senior staff to accelerate progress and direct out-of-school time initiatives and research in such areas as education, community college prep, low-income parent engagement and long-term poverty tracking, that can have profound effects improving the lives of Greater Washington, DC students in need. Under his leadership, The House, Inc. was recognized by the 2021-2022 Catalogue for Philanthropy: Greater Washington as "One of the Best" nonprofits of the year. Former First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama, was the Honorary Chair of The House Student Leadership Center’s 2014, 2015, and 2016 anniversaries. Todd has a Business Administration degree from The University of Arkansas, an Executive Masters in Leadership from Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business. He also has an education from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Citizen’s Academy. A few of Todd's many professional accomplishments are listed below: - Voted 2021 Best Non-Profit Civic Support Worker by the readers of InsideNoVa "Best of Price William" for the eighth consecutive year. - Joined Stratford University as Adjunct Faculty in its School of Business in 2016. - Named 2015 Advisory Board member of Stratford University’s School of Business. - Named 2014 “Forty Under 40,” young professionals to watch by Potomac Local. - September 2014, named stakeholder member of The White House My Brother’s Keeper Community Challenge Initiative. - September 2014, named stakeholder to The White House Let’s Move Initiative: America's Move to Raise a Healthier Generation of Kids. - Serves as a committee member of The Clinton Foundation 20/30. - Tapped by Assistant Director in Charge, Washington Field Office FBI to coordinate and develop summer internship program for students at the Bureau through the Center’s Job Core. - Tapped by Deputy Associate Director, Headquarters, U.S. Army Contracting Command to choose the Center’s students as interns at Headquarters. - Inaugurated National Capital A Cinderella Ball, a free prom, dinner and Ball for Washington, DC area middle and high school students with disabilities and life-threatening illnesses annually at The Willard InterContinental Hotel in Washington, DC. Mayor Adrian M. Fenty recognized this work and gave the Mayor’s Environmental Excellence Award for best practices to The Willard for its collaboration with the Center’s philanthropic platform. - Conceived and managed disaster recovery efforts included generating 200,000 meals for earthquake victims through the Center. - Designed system which provides the safety net in the creation of The House Student Leadership Center’s Non-Traditional School. First site in the nation to contract with GradPoint for credit accrual and credit recovery for students expelled or suspended for various infractions and crisis situations. - Board member of Prince William County Healthy Communities Healthy Youth (HCHY) - November 2012, named Innovative Award Winner from The Potomac Health Foundation Board of Directors for the fully developed and manage creation of Fitting In, a childhood obesity initiative for students and families. - SUCCESS Magazine featured The House Student Leadership Center, while CNN, The Washington Post, Washington Times, NBC, CBS, FOX and ABC have also featured the work of the Center.
TREASURER
Mark Victorson
NAMI Prince William
Mark Victorson serves as the treasurer for NAMI Prince William and is also a co-facilitator of the chapter's family support group. Mark also gives back to the community through his work as a volunteer on the ACTS Helpline and with Capital Caring Hospice. He is also serves as the Social Ministry chair at St. Matthews Lutheran Church. Mark served 30 years in the US Army Transportation Corps and as Army Attache in the US Embassy in Paris and as Defense and Army Attache in the US Embassy in Cairo. He then served in an organization, dealing with Defense logistics issues.
Serena Bermudez, PhD
Alliance Prince William
Serena P. Bermudez, Ph.D is a nine-year veteran of the United States Navy in support of Desert Storm/Desert Shield. Dr. Bermudez holds a doctorate in psychology with a specialization in addiction. She also holds a M.S. in Human Services and Leadership and a BA in psychology. After completing her military service, she has made it her passion to give back to the veteran community. In the past, she has served as the Chairman of the Prince William County Chamber of Commerce Veterans Council and works diligently within the community to address the needs of veterans. Dr. Bermudez was also the 2022 Disabled American Veterans National Commander’s Award for Outstanding Local Veteran Employment. Most recently Dr. Bermudez was selected for the 2024 Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award. Advocating and standing in the gap to help Veterans obtain employment with various opportunities makes all the difference. She believes in action as she calls it being on the “front line” helping others. She will keep leading the charge in having a voice for All Veterans.
Evelyn BruMar
Casa BruMar Foundation
Evelyn BruMar is the executive director and founder of Casa BruMar Foundation; a nonprofit that helps to bridge the gap that leaves the LGBTQ+ community behind when it comes to equality that is equitable in education, social services, and human dignity in the Commonwealth of Virginia. She was awarded a Prince William County Human Rights award in 2018 for her non-profit work. She helped lead the first-ever LGBTQ+ Pride Proclamation/Resolution to pass in Prince William County. She organized and helped pass the first LGBTQ+ Pride Proclamation/Resolution by the Prince William County Public School Board. She is the first Latinx Lesbian member of the Prince William County Human Rights Commission, where she currently serves as Vice Chair. She is also a founding member of the LGBTQ+ Advisory Board to the Governor of Virginia, where she served under former Governor Northam and Governor Youngkin. In addition to her non-profit and public service, she educates local, state, and federal law enforcement on how to better interact with the LGBTQ+ community. She has spoken in front of the Department of Justice and Drug Enforcement Agency to do the same. Evelyn was also selected as an Equality Virginia OUTStanding Virginian in 2019 and is one of the Five Influential Women of 2022 as selected by Prince William Living Magazine. She has most recently been awarded the Gerald B. Roemer Community Service Award, presented by Department of Justice Pride. She has also recently accepted a position as the first Latinx Lesbian board member with Insight Memory Care Centers to help expand LGBTQ+ services and outreach to our aging community in Northern Virginia.
Martina Jackson Green
Executive Director
Martina Jackson Green is a dynamic executive leader who has shaped the goals of nonprofit and for-profit organizations - effectively expanding their audiences, volunteer engagement, fundraising, and corporate structures. Martina possesses a natural talent for building and nurturing relationships with her unique ability to connect with individuals and groups from all walks of life, to which she credits her personal and professional success. She’s an active community member who supports the delivery of critical local resources to well-structured nonprofits. Martina’s affiliations include Northern Virginia Community College as Professor of Communication, as well as former Executive Director of Manassas City Public Schools Education Foundation. Her education has equipped her with an understanding of the intricacies of effective communication, both in theory and practice. She is a proud graduate of Western Illinois University where she earned a Bachelor’s in Human Communication and a Master’s degree in Organizational Communication. Martina also earned an Accreditation in Public Relations.
Octavia King
Action in Community Through Service
Octavia King is a proud graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University and earned both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in social work. Her passion for housing and homelessness was first ignited while serving as an intern at the Salvation Army Emergency Shelter in Richmond, VA. Since then, she has supported diverse populations, in various roles, within in several human service agencies across the states of Virginia, Maryland and Delaware with the goal of self-sufficiency and self-determination. In 2023, she became a Licensed Master’s Social Worker (LMSW) in Virginia and provided individual teletherapy services to clients in Northern Virginia. She is currently serving as the Housing Services Director of Action in Community Through Service (ACTS) in Dumfries Virginia. She led the Housing Services Department to include the following programs: Emergency Utility/Rental Assistance, Beverly Warren Emergency Family Shelter, Rapid Rehousing and Affordable Housing programs. She has a focus on expanding accessibility, deepening relationships with community partnerships and increasing services resources to low-income households located in the Prince William County Area.
Suzan Lee
Suzan Lee is a teacher-turned-Data Center Technician, with over nineteen years of professional experience in both the public and private sector. She specializes in data center operations, client relations, training, and audit preparation and facilitation. Ms. Lee's unique background in both education and business ownership allows her to prioritize work and exceed expectations. She strongly believes every step of her career has led her to be today's best version of herself, most notably calling upon the time of unexpected ownership at her parent's bagel shop - not only to maintain the shop's revenue ability but to see through to its success for many years. Ms. Lee is an asset to both Iron Mountain and her community. She is also bilingual with fluency in Korean.

Rabbi Shmuel Perlstein is the Rabbi and Director of the Chabad Center for Jewish Life, the first Jewish center serving western Prince William County. With a vision of building a warm and welcoming community that can inspire each person to grow at their pace without judgment. Since 2017 Rabbi Shmuly with his wife, Goldie, have nourished a thriving Jewish presence in the area. Including programs like Hebrew School of the Arts, Jewish Women’s Circle, Cteen, Mommy & Me, JLI Educational Series, Annual Menorah Lightings, Holiday events, and more

Lisa Wolf
Stem/CTE Coordinator
Lisa Wolf is the STEM/CTE/Gifted Coordinator. She started her career as an educator with Manassas Park City Schools in 2003. She is in her 6th year as the division’s STEM/CTE/Gifted Coordinator. Prior to her current role, she was a STEM Teacher at Manassas Park Elementary and served as the Gifted Resource Teacher for the elementary campus for many years. Lisa has also taught in the homeroom setting and served in a variety of leadership roles during her time with Manassas Park City Schools. Ms. Wolf holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Social Science and a Master of Science in Elementary Education from Binghamton University in Binghamton, NY.
