The Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) made available federal funding in supplemental Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for grants to “prevent, prepare for, and respond to coronavirus“ (CDBG-CV grants). The Office of Housing & Community Development (OHCD) was awarded $1,585,562 in CDBG-CV Funding for the Prince William Area (Prince William County, cities of Manassas & Manassas Park), with allocations distributed based on population and funding to be expended by March 31, 2022.
The Emergency Housing Assistance Program will be provided to all eligible households who have experienced financial hardship due to COVID-19 with (Subsistence Payments) with a one-time or short-term, (no more than three consecutive months payments) of emergency mortgage, rental and utility housing assistance to prevent homelessness.
I have attached flyers for the EHAP Program in both English and Spanish for distribution as you deemed necessary within your locality.
Eligible Applications will be accepted and processed based upon date and time received and funding limitations and Applications will be available and/or accepted on July 1, 2020 at 8:00 a.m.
