In 2020, The Human Services Alliance of Greater Prince William began making grants to provide human services groups with funding to address various unmet community needs.
Through the Prince William Area Disaster Fund and the Prince William CARES Community Grant Program, more than $3 million in grants were made to provide nonprofit and faith-based groups with the funds needed to best serve Prince William area residents in light of the COVID-19 public health crisis.
Projects funded addressed health, housing, hunger relief, basic needs, education support, childcare and more.
In 2022, The Alliance partnered with Prince William County Government to administer $10 million in ARPA funds to provide COVID-19 recovery support. The ARPA Community Grant Program is ongoing. As is the Prince William Area Disaster Fund program.
